Great Team, Work, Memories and . . .
Welcome to eCUTE
The eCUTE project developed two innovative, technological applications to aid cultural understanding and empathy in children and young adults – MIXER (Moderating Interactions for Cross-Cultural Empathic Relationships) and TRAVELLER (TRAining for Virtually Every Location for Learning Empathic Relationships).
For a lighter view of the applications developed by the project please visit the mini-sites created for MIXER and TRAVELLER.
The project developed these based upon:
- pedagogical approaches to education in cultural understanding grounded in psychological and educational theory
- innovative and believable cultural learning scenarios based on theoretical approaches that connect with the experiences of the target learner groups
- established operational parameterisation of theoretically derived cultural behaviour and used it to create synthetic cultures and characters that behave as if they live within such cultures
- developed expressive behaviour for synthetic characters that is culturally appropriate
eCUTE was a project funded by Seventh Framework Programme for research and technological development (FP7)
